Titkta Ghrita translates to “Bitter Ghee.” ‘tikta’ means bitter, and ‘ghee’ is clarified butter. This herb-infused ghee also goes by Tiktaka Ghrita and Tiktaka Ghritam.
According to the Ayurvedic, the bitter taste has cooling, cleansing, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. This medicated ghee is used in the Ayurvedic detoxification process of Panchkarma, usually for skin diseases.
